After many years on the market, Habasit Cleandrive belts continue to stand out thanks to their unique design. As monolithic TPU belts with encapsulated aramid co***, they ensure safe and hygienic food processing while delivering outstanding reliability, reduced maintenance, excellent performance, and a long lifetime. The launch of the new SaniClip joint adds a further level of efficiency and hygiene. Reinach/Switzerland, February 2018 – Hygiene and food safety are a top priority in food processing. But in an increasingly competitive market, it is equally essential to make production as fast, reliable and efficient as possible. Belt joints h***e an important part to play in this.

Fast, hygienic and easy joining with an advanced new option: SaniClip
It is vital to keep belt joints clean and free of contaminants. Habasit’s newly launched SaniClip joints for its Cleandrive range, initially ***ailable for 2” pitch belts, now permit even easier belt disassembly, which not only reduces maintenance costs but also improves sanitation by encouraging belt removal instead of cleaning on the conveyor. Note that Habasit Cleandrive belts can also be delivered endless, or manufactured with a mechanical lace (hinge joint) that allows very fast removal and installation, ensuring minimal downtime. A third option is to melt-join on-site using Habasit’s unique, easy to use PQ joining tool, which delivers fast, strong and perfect joints that fully maintain the hygienic features of the belt.

Premium TPU belt material for hygiene and longevity
Habasit Cleandrive belts are manufactured using premium polyether TPU, which offers superior abrasion and hydrolysis resistance, and is thus able to withstand frequent and aggressive cleaning methods and chemical agents, resulting in a longer belt life. It is also inherently resistant to microbiological attack. A further advantage of the material is that it can operate in a wide range of temperatures, from low-temperature freezer in-feeds to high-temperature fryer out-feeds, where it will not stretch. As a fully extruded TPU belt, there are no fabric members that could fray during use and pose a food safety risk. Habasit’s proprietary manufacturing process produces solid yet flexible belts with a completely even surface, making these belts very scraper friendly and easy to clean. Rounded corners and edges also prevent residue collection and support hygiene.

Unique aramid reinforced belt design for performance
Habasit’s unique reinforced belt design with fully embedded aramid tensile members ensures that Habasit Cleandrive belts deliver continuous dimensional stability while allowing increased loads and permitting longer or wider belts of up to 1.8 meters. They will not elongate, thus allowing higher productivity and a longer belt life. Belt service life is further extended through reliable sprocket engagement and non-slip pulley action, which reduces belt wear, maintenance and downtime. Using Habasit belts means hygiene and belt life never h***e to be compromised by forced sprocket engagement using limiters, which also add complexity and cost.

Narrow transfers, increased yield
Because they are so strong and flexible, Habasit Cleandrive belts allow very ***all pulley diameters, ensuring tighter transfers, which minimize product damage and loss during transfers and thus reduce waste and energy c***umption.
